Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rounds in Fort Wayne, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access points, and provide standout customer service and communication to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances and key interior points by verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the proper areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, communicate updates to site leadership, and coordinate with local public responders when required by location procedures.
