About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and delivering outstanding customer service while utilizing technology such as computers or tablets. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Monitor access points at the manufacturing and industrial location to help control entry and exit, verifying credentials and maintaining logs as necessary.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
Support emergency response activities and follow established protocols for the location.
