As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your role is essential in supporting a welcoming and protected atmosphere, while working as part of a caring and reliable team that values integrity and innovation.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Verify identification and credentials for individuals entering the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by assisting with inquiries and directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of site-specific procedures and protocols relevant to the food and beverage environment.
