As a Security Officer - Access Control Mall in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and conduct patrols throughout a retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all visitors and staff. You will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment by verifying credentials and responding to situations as needed, while delivering exceptional customer service and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures at the location.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential concerns.
Assist visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and provide information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
