About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Logistics in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for people and property. You'll interact with visitors and employees, manage access points, and utilize technology to support your duties. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures at the location, including verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Provide customer service by communicating professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel regarding access protocols and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents and report any unusual observations.
  • Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and client site requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
