As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Your presence and attention to detail will support a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access at the location.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors, drivers, and staff in a professional manner.
  • Monitor security-related systems such as cameras and alarms to support site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment at the logistics and distribution location.
