Security Officer Full Time Evenings
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Carlisle, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the logistics and distribution location.
- Verify credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with access procedures and directions as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report irregularities.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordination with local emergency services if required.
- Follow all site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies while performing daily duties at the logistics and distribution location.
