About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Parkersburg, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
