About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Parkersburg, WV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
X-ray screening experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents within the logistics and distribution environment.
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
