As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor entry and exit points, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and professionalism will contribute to a secure atmosphere for staff and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and drivers with access-related inquiries and directions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Document and report any irregularities, security-related incidents, or breaches of procedures to the appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, according to site-specific requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities and security-related incidents at the location.
