As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, managing access badges, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Requirements

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries related to site access and security-related procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Follow site-specific emergency response protocols and coordinate with local authorities as necessary.
Maintain a visible presence at key access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
