As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, managing access badges, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your visible presence and attentive customer service will contribute to a secure environment for staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries related to site access and security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and identify potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Follow site-specific emergency response protocols and coordinate with local authorities as necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence at key access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
