Requirements

Applicants must have received required vaccines as mandated by the hospital.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or other personnel as needed.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and following established protocols.
Support emergency response efforts in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
