As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will be responsible for monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A TSA issued TWIC is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings in accordance with established protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following site-specific guidelines and instructions.
Provide customer service to all individuals at the location, addressing questions or concerns in a professional manner.
Maintain accurate logs and reports related to access control and security-related incidents.
