As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and patrolling a dynamic chemical or petrochemical location. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and report any concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and irregularities according to site procedures.
Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed to support security-related operations.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
