As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a premier retail mall location, you will monitor entry points, patrol designated areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will deliver outstanding customer service, support a welcoming environment, and uphold our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation while putting people first in every interaction.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points to help control entry and exit of individuals, verifying identification and/or credentials as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and mall location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any security-related irregularities, suspicious behavior, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with crowd control during busy periods or special events within the retail environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
Collaborate with onsite staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
