As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and outstanding communication skills will support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the residential community, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and property management staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures while maintaining a visible and approachable presence at the location.
