Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Hazel Park, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology and media environment, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Report suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including evacuations or lockdowns when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records and logs of security-related events and interactions as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment within the location.
