About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Accomac, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
Greet and assist employees, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner while adhering to site-specific policies and procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to observe for any unusual or prohibited activities.
Respond in a calm, problem-solving manner to incidents and critical situations, following established protocols.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation procedures and providing guidance to occupants.
Collaborate with site personnel to support security-related needs specific to a food and beverage processing environment.
