As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and help maintain smooth traffic flow for employees and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing authorized individuals to the proper areas.
  • Control entry and exit at gates, doors, and loading areas, helping to deter unauthorized access by monitoring foot and vehicle traffic and maintaining visitor, badge, and key control logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for security-related hazards, suspicious activity, and access control concerns.
  • Document routine and unusual activity through written reports and electronic systems, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts to support security-related operations.
