Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures at the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting employees and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to observe for any unusual activity or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and emergency response activities.
  • Document observations and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific guidelines.
  • Communicate with site management and Allied Universal supervisory staff regarding security-related matters and/or incidents.
  • Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and post orders as directed by Allied Universal and client leadership.
