Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
Experience with alarm panels is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors according to site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directing them as needed within the manufacturing and industrial location.
Carry out security-related procedures in alignment with site-specific protocols and Allied Universal standards.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
Collaborate with site personnel to support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any hazards or unusual conditions encountered during the shift.
