About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Plano, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents at a financial institution by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. This post includes driving responsibilities in accordance with company policy. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas, following site-specific protocols.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of access control activities and incidents as required by site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
