Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Desk in Champaign, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points at the food and beverage facility to verify credentials and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies, maintaining awareness of all entrance and exit activity.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with access-related questions and/or concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual activity.
Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Collaborate with facility management and local authorities during emergency response activities as needed.
