As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage badge access, verify credentials, and monitor entry points to support smooth daily operations. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide clear, professional communication with employees, visitors, and contractors. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at an industrial manufacturing location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems, cameras, and alarms, and report irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching assistance and documenting actions taken according to site requirements.
  • Support shipping and receiving access points by confirming delivery appointments, checking vehicle entry and/or exit authorization, and helping to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
