Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will perform routine patrols, manage access control points, and interact with visitors and employees while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or potential hazards within the food and beverage production environment.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with security-related inquiries and procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and to check for any signs of tampering or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports of access control activities, incidents, and patrols as required by site-specific policies.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including guiding personnel during evacuations or lockdowns according to site procedures.
  • Follow all site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and client management.
