As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements

A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, contractors, and visitors in accordance with site-specific policies.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the chemical and petrochemical facility.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to observe for security-related irregularities and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with inquiries and directions as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Complete security-related logs, reports, and documentation as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Support emergency response activities by following site-specific procedures and assisting first responders when appropriate.
