As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances and exits, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide a welcoming presence for tenants and visitors. Your role will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility, and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for irregularities.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities, following established procedures and coordinating with local authorities as required.
