About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Control Coordinator in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic healthcare location where you will help support access control, monitor entry activity, and assist with badge-related processes for patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver outstanding customer service while using computer and/or tablet systems. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access procedures, visitor screening, and other security-related policies at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and credentialing points to help control authorized access, document visitor activity, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, entry points, parking areas, and other assigned areas to help identify security-related concerns and support a professional environment.
  • Prepare clear reports on daily activity, access-related incidents, and policy violations, and assist with directions and general assistance for patients, visitors, and staff.
