About The Position

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining a visible presence at access points.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with inquiries related to access procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and visitor information as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
