About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Aero Site in Saint Augustine, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for all personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or law enforcement, as necessary, to address security-related concerns specific to an aerospace and defense environment.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report potential security-related hazards or unusual activity.
