About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Control Aero Site in Saint Augustine, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for all personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or law enforcement, as necessary, to address security-related concerns specific to an aerospace and defense environment.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report potential security-related hazards or unusual activity.
