About The Position

As a Security Officer - Access Checkpoint Driver in Anderson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support a smooth visitor and employee experience. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements, grounded in integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing temporary badges, processing visitor check-in and check-out, and maintaining access control logs.
  • Monitor alarms, access control system activity, and/or cameras as assigned; report irregular activity and follow post orders for notifications and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with site contacts and/or responding personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checks of doors, gates, and critical areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
