About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Check Driver in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage vehicle and visitor access, and support smooth site operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials, review visitor and driver activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
  • Document and report incidents, suspicious activity, and access-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Communicate with site contacts, drivers, vendors, and/or transport personnel regarding entry procedures, badge requirements, and delivery access instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for unusual conditions and reporting security-related issues.
