As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence and communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures designed to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity within the food and beverage environment.
  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing individuals as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, or irregularities related to access control and/or site operations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe and report on conditions, as assigned by Allied Universal and site management.
