As a Security Professional - Academic Patrol Unarmed in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in an education-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including campus buildings and surrounding perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards in and around the educational environment.
Act as a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide support to students, staff, and visitors.
Collaborate with local authorities and site management as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
Complete detailed, accurate incident and daily activity reports as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Maintain awareness of the surroundings and communicate professionally with all individuals encountered during patrols.
