About The Position

As a Security Officer - Academic Patrol Route in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, assist students and staff, and communicate clearly with all visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the educational environment.
Perform regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
Support emergency response activities as required by the location, including assisting with evacuations and reporting incidents to appropriate personnel.
Monitor and report any security-related concerns or hazards discovered during patrols to site management and/or Allied Universal supervisors.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, activities, and observations during each shift as required by the site's procedures.
Serve as a visible Allied Universal representative, providing information and assistance to those on campus while promoting a secure environment.
