About The Position

As a Security Officer - Academic Bike Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting visible patrols throughout an educational location. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure environment while you engage with students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the educational environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Work collaboratively with campus staff and local law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Remain visible and approachable to foster a sense of security within the educational location.
