About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Security Officer for the 3rd Shift to perform a variety of routine and non-routine security activities at the Company facility to protect Company property and its human resources. The role involves preserving order, enforcing regulations, screening and controlling access to the facility, conducting inspections, writing reports, directing vehicle traffic, responding to emergencies, and operating security systems. The position is essential to maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Current Security Clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of security services experience in Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or Healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Preserve order and enforce regulations pertaining to employees, visitors, and the premises.
• Screen and control employees, visitors, and vehicles to prohibit unauthorized access.
• Inspect items to prevent contraband from being brought in or property being removed.
• Ensure all material being removed from the facility is accompanied by proper authorization.
• Conduct regular inspection tours of Company property, being alert to suspicious activity.
• Write reports describing all violations, irregularities, or complaints noted.
• Direct vehicle traffic on Company roadways and enforce parking regulations.
• Issue identification badges and maintain rosters of contractors.
• Respond to emergencies of a security or medical nature.
• Operate Company vehicles and other powered industrial vehicles.
• Monitor and operate centralized security and/or fire alarm systems.
• Respond to fire and/or hazmat emergencies and assist in organizing and directing others.
• Perform training duties for Security Officer employees and other staff.
• Perform a variety of other protective services-related duties as assigned.
