The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility and its occupants. This includes making physical inspections and security checks of the grounds and facility, documenting results, reporting fires, assisting in fire suppression, investigating incidents, and providing clear and accurate reports. The officer will also perform First-Aid and CPR as needed, control disturbances, assist staff in de-escalating volatile situations, and conduct routine vehicle inspections on the General Services Administration fleet. Additionally, the officer will complete required security, vehicle, and transportation logs accurately and on time, and log and search employees, visitors, vendors, and students as they enter and exit the center. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
