About The Position

This position is a floater for A Shift with primary A-Shift hours. Must be flexible to also cover other Shifts as needed. This position is responsible for the physical security of the facility, including assignments to walking or stationary posts, depending upon the location. The position will require inspection and control of persons and vehicles while entering or leaving the facility, logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress, writing reports, performing preliminary investigations in addition to switchboard operations, two-way radio communication and intercom equipment. Requires a valid drivers' license and must be eighteen years of age or older. Specific duties include: Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members. Allowing only authorized personnel into the facility. Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc. Writing investigative reports and preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed. Walking through the plant to check physical facility security. Inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.

Requirements

  • Requires a valid drivers' license and must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience: None
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills
  • Communication Skills: Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations. Must be able to communicate written, orally. comprehend English language with fluency.
  • Able to work in both hot cold temperatures be able to work both independently under supervision and have a positive work ethic attitude.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a background check.
