Nestled in the scenic mountains near Michaux State Forest, South Mountain Restoration Center is a skilled nursing home facility that provides long-term care and is operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In this position, you will be tasked with ensuring a safe and secure environment by protecting lives and property, as well as enforcing operational policies and regulations. Your responsibilities will include patrolling and monitoring all buildings and grounds, both on foot and by vehicle, to identify and address any fire or safety hazards. Additionally, you will respond to emergencies within the facility, providing support to manage and resolve critical incidents. You will also oversee all operational functions of the facility's communication center, mail services, switchboard, surveillance systems, and related equipment, while regulating the activities of residents, vendors, guests, employees, and the public. Requirements

  • Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
