About The Position

As a key member of our team, the Yard Supervisor directs the activities of Yard Associates and plays a hands-on role in all yard activities. The Yard Supervisor helps organize product for deliveries to job sites, monitors all activities for safety compliance, promotes stellar customer service, and maintains the overall organization of the branch. Schedule: Thursday thru Sunday 6PM to 4AM

Requirements

1+ year(s) of experience leading teams
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
Must be safety-minded and aware of applicable safety requirements relative to equipment used
Must be customer-focused and an enthusiastic, dependable team player
Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Experience in landscape, nursery, hardscape, irrigation, or forestry industry a plus
Experience operating equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, or front-end loader also a plus

Responsibilities

Perform multiple foot and/or vehicle patrols of all areas both inside and outside the facilities to monitor any unusual activity/conditions such as but not limited to water leaks, equipment fluid leaks, unauthorized personnel, and pond conditions.
Perform fire watch throughout shift for assigned critical areas and follow Emergency Plan in the event of a fire or inclement weather
Provide detailed and concise Daily Activity Reports and maintain daily assigned equipment
Be aware of local events/attractions and adjust schedule to include increased patrols as needed
Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, climb hills and lift up to 80 pounds
Person must have good communication skills
