The Youth Care Worker/Security Monitor will be maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and property. The Security Monitor also assists in incident investigations by providing basic technical support and retrieving surveillance footage as needed. This role requires strong situational awareness, discretion, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols in alignment with trauma-informed care practices. While bearing the Youth Care Worker title, this role serves strictly in a security capacity and is not counted in the client-to-staff ratio, nor is it responsible for daily direct care or case management of clients. The Security Monitor must be available to respond to emergencies or critical incidents outside of regularly scheduled hours. Regular shift assignments may include overnight or rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 security coverage.
