About The Position

Position Purpose: The Security Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO) will provide leadership and operational oversite for all security functions supporting the Lafayette and Boulder facilities, ensuring full regulatory compliance and program protection in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM.

Requirements

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • BA/BS Degree; or equivalent experience or certificates
  • 10 plus years of experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor working in corporate and government environments as a security officer.
  • Travel requirement is approximately 5%.

Responsibilities

  • Process/review initial and periodic security clearance/continuous evaluation packages for program personnel utilizing government databases of record i.e., DISS, NBIS.
  • Maintain Facility Clearance (FCL) information within the National Industrial Security System (NISS).
  • Maintain inventory, accountability and control of classified documents, secure areas, COMSEC material and equipment.
  • Prepare and review DD254s.
  • Conduct annual Self Inspections and participate in government compliance audits.
  • Preparation and maintenance for a continued security education, awareness, and training program; conduct initial briefings and debriefs.
  • Conduct administrative inquiries and coordination of appropriate follow-up actions with functional partners, i.e., HR, Legal, IT, Ethics and government entities.
  • Tracking and submission of adverse reports, foreign contacts and foreign travel and other reportable information.
  • Collecting data for metrics and analysis.
  • Process incoming/outgoing visitor requests.
  • Primary COMSEC custodian ensuring a compliant program in accordance with NSA 3-16 policy.
  • Develop and maintain current OPSEC, transportation, EAP and SOP procedures.
  • Ability to understand and interpret security regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities and devise preventative measures affecting campus community and collateral programs.
  • Build and sustain solid relationships with internal and external steak holders to include law enforcement and government representatives to address threat trends and crime affecting the campus.
  • Insider Threat Program oversight as the appointed ITPSO.
  • Supervisory oversight of team members, write/conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Responsible for vendor contract management for security services (i.e., alarm services, security guards, monitoring, etc.).
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
