Location TBD Clearance Level T2 – Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) Primary Function The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations within an ICE detention facility, ensuring the safety of detainees, staff, and visitors while maintaining strict compliance with federal standards and facility protocols. This role leads the security team, manages incident response, and coordinates with ICE officials and law enforcement to uphold a secure and humane environment. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which Acuity International is recognized.   • Develop and implement facility-wide security protocols in alignment with ICE Performance-Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS).
  • Supervise perimeter control, access points, surveillance systems, and internal movement of detainees.
  • Lead emergency response planning, drills, and incident investigations.
  • Monitor and evaluate daily security activities, ensuring readiness and accountability.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise armed and unarmed security personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure staff compliance with use-of-force policies and ethical conduct.
  • Provide ongoing training in de-escalation, defensive tactics, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of incidents, disciplinary actions, and security audits.
  • Prepare reports for ICE officials, facility leadership, and external inspectors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and contractual regulations.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers and law enforcement agencies.
  • Coordinate detainee escorts, court transports , and high-risk movements.
  • Collaborate with medical, administrative, and logistics teams to support secure operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice , Homeland Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in correctional, detention, or law enforcement security management.
  • Strong knowledge of ICE detention standards, emergency response protocols, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Must pass background checks and maintain federal security clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age .
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident , Resided in the US for 3 years in the past 5 years .
  • FEMA ICS/NIMS
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Defensive Tactics / Use-of-Force Certification
  • ACA or NCCHC accreditation experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant languages)
  • Has undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher; has been granted favorable suitability/eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months .
