The Loss Prevention Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Loss Prevention Officers, ensuring effective security measures are in place to prevent theft and loss. This role involves hiring, training, and maintaining schedules for the team, as well as actively patrolling the premises to identify and apprehend shoplifters. The supervisor will also interact with local law enforcement and provide courtroom testimony when necessary.

  • Interview, hire, and train Loss Prevention Officers.
  • Maintain schedules for locations supervised.
  • Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV cameras.
  • Report writing and documentation of incidents.
  • Interact with local law enforcement as needed.
  • Provide courtroom testimony as required.
  • Pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means.
  • Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports.
  • Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
  • Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
  • Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated.
  • Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (minimum).
  • Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience.
  • Criminal Justice or related studies.
  • $22.00 per hour
  • Full-Time / 40 hours per week
