As a Security IT Specialist located in San Francisco, CA you will you will provide both technical, security, and system administrative support for Shipt computer endpoints, primary communication systems, and enterprise security platforms. Each day you will work closely with your team to manage support ticket requests to provide team members any necessary technical support as well as evaluating and recommending system changes to further automate and reduce technical blockers. While no two days are the same you will be responsible for the management of common SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft 365. You will configure and maintain MDM systems, such as JAMF, to ensure team members' devices are secure, are monitored according to cybersecurity best practices, and can safely access internal networks. Manage Shipt's Apple/Mac laptop inventory by ensuring that all team members have all necessary hardware, devices are tracked and assigned accurately, devices are shipped to new team members, and devices are recovered from separated employees.

  • You have a minimum 3+ years of experience in technical support or system administration
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • You have knowledge or experience with application and network security and ability to apply cybersecurity best practices
  • You have experience with Apple OS and Apple device diagnostic processes
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to complete complex problem-solving for both software and hardware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist and support less technical individuals
  • You have relevant certifications (CompTIA, Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, JAMF100) is a plus
