About The Position

The Security Intelligence Center (SIC) Officer will utilize company-provided resources to identify, research, and assess information that may indicate potential threats or concerns to guests and employees of Caesars Entertainment in the Las Vegas region. The SIC Officer will prepare detailed reports on tactical, administrative, and strategic intelligence gathered. In this role, the SIC Officer will analyze and evaluate information to mitigate threats and manage crises impacting Caesars Entertainment in the Las Vegas region. Additionally, the SIC Officer will identify, monitor, and assess risks that could affect business operations, providing leadership with actionable intelligence to support critical decision-making. The SIC Officer will also maintain and operate mass notification systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies that enhance security effectiveness and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proficient in English verbal and written
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Thorough knowledge of Caesars Entertainment security procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in basic computer programs.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and a valid Nevada Driver’s License.
  • Demonstrated investigative and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of data analysis as it relates to security and business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to ensure timely task completion.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work and stand indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures (heat exceeding 115°F and cold as low as 10°F).
  • Physically restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Respond calmly and make rational decisions during crises and stressful situations.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Perform physical activities such as stooping, bending, jumping, twisting, crouching, gripping, carrying heavy loads, and maneuvering quickly on level surfaces and stairs.
  • Lift and carry up to 60 lbs.; push or pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Maintain keen observation skills and recall specific details of incidents and individuals; provide court testimony and write detailed reports.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Tolerate environments with secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • Successfully complete physical and written testing at the Western Division Security Academy within 90 days of employment (including Controlled Force, Defensive Tactics, Legal Issues, Handcuffing, Tactical Communications, Use of Force, Report Writing, Searching Subjects, Emergency Response, Ethics, and Expandable Baton).
  • Re-certify between years 2 and 3 through the Western Division Security Academy and meet all physical, mental, and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically monitor online open sources and media channels for potential and known threats.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of security-related incidents; analyze information and produce actionable intelligence.
  • Receive, evaluate, and disseminate incoming information and reports from Security personnel, field officers, employees, and local agencies.
  • Provide strategic analysis and support for open-source monitoring during special events, security incidents, disasters, and other crises that may disrupt business in the Las Vegas region.
  • Review, analyze, and escalate open-source and subscription-based intelligence to mitigate and report global threats to company property, employees, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate original thinking and creativity; meet challenges with resourcefulness, generate improvement suggestions, and develop innovative approaches to complex problems.
  • Apply advanced critical thinking skills under high-stress conditions, often with undefined processes and procedures.
  • Generate clear, easy-to-interpret reports based on collected and analyzed data.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for disseminating information regarding security-related incidents in the Las Vegas region.
  • Assist investigations by collecting detailed intelligence on persons of interest.
  • Conduct event vulnerability assessments to reduce risk.
  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques; provide ongoing reports.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Maintain and operate mass notification systems for communicating security-related matters.
  • Operate and monitor computer workstations and emergency systems; administer and maintain process control systems and databases used within the Intelligence Center.
  • Monitor Caesars Entertainment employees abroad; send travel advisories and incident notifications during security incidents and crisis events.
  • Perform standard primary Security Officer functions as needed.
