About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security Installation Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion alarms, and intercom systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with low-voltage electrical systems, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be committed to delivering high-quality service.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field is a plus.
Proven experience in security system installation or a related field (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
Familiarity with major security system brands (e.g., Hikvision, Honeywell, Bosch, DSC, etc.).
Ability to use power tools and testing equipment safely and effectively.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (e.g., crawlspaces, attics, outdoors).

Nice To Haves

Understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, routing, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, program, test, and maintain security systems such as surveillance cameras, burglar alarms, and access control devices.
Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5/6, coaxial, fiber, etc.).
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to complete installations.
Diagnose and repair system malfunctions or defects using appropriate testing equipment.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Provide training and support to clients on system operation and functionality.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades as needed.
Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service calls.
