About The Position

Allied Universal Technology Services® is hiring a Service Technician to drive our mission of being the world's most trusted service provider. The technician will perform service, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics on access control systems and IP-based video equipment, including electrified/non-electrified locks, card readers, IP/analog cameras, intercoms, video recorders, and wired/wireless systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a company issued vehicle.
  • Minimum of three years of field experience in the electronic security industry.
  • Possession of state specific licensing or ability to obtain and hold license once hired.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast based environment with minimum direction.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet.
  • Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users.

Nice To Haves

  • Highly skilled in the electronic security industry.
  • Experience with any of the following: Software House, CCURE, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacqvision, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh or ONSSI.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to commercial client sites to service, identify, repair, troubleshoot, and detect access control equipment and IP-based video security systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and effectively to ensure company compliance, standards and building codes, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
  • Install, program and configure commercial electronic security systems for enterprise commercial clients.
  • Supervise Installation Technician I's on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager.
  • Run electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation.
