About The Position

Security Hosts Needed! Do you enjoy the thrill of working in a fast-paced environment? If so, Island H2O Water Park has immediate openings for Security Hosts on our Security team! A SEASON OF FUN AND MEMORIES! JOB TITLE: Security Host REPORTS TO: Security Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Security FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt POSITION SUPERVISED: None JOB SUMMARY: The Security Host will be responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, guests, team members, park, and all visitors.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in security related role preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, holidays overnight events and weekends
  • Must be able to maintain positive, respectful relationships and work effectively with all internal and external constituencies, including employees, community leaders and senior management.
  • Must have highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
  • Must have a proactive, goal-oriented, can-do attitude. Positive and effective customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to up-sell products and services.
  • Must have good teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow security procedures to implement a secure facility.
  • Performs security patrols to report any suspicious activity.
  • Protects property from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
  • Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards and other security related situations.
  • Provides any needed assistance to guests, team members and visitors following the department's procedures.
  • Work independently and follow procedures with minimal observation.
  • Provide suggestions for improved security procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations.
  • Greeting guests, visitors, and team members in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Keep a clean orderly work area.
  • Provide guests with accurate park information.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Complete required paperwork in its entirety daily.
  • Maintain an environment where safety is the number one concern for all guests, team members and visitors.
  • Adhere to company ethical requirements, demonstrating the utmost integrity in all professional and personal matters.
  • Provide a reporting leader with feedback, ideas, and suggestions on a timely consistent basis.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
