As a Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients, their employees, and the public. This is a customer service-forward, front-facing role that requires one-on-one interaction, professionalism, and strong security awareness. Professionalism, security, and customer service are at the forefront of this position. This role requires attentiveness, steady movement throughout the shift, keen observation skills, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Reliable transportation and means of communication
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Strong customer service mindset with professional appearance and demeanor
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conduct routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all weather conditions
  • Must meet all preemployment requirements
  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification preferred; must be willing and able to obtain certification if not currently certified

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment through visible presence and routine patrols
  • Provide professional, customer-focused service in a forward-facing environment
  • Engage in one-on-one interactions with visitors, employees, and clients while enforcing site policies
  • Observe, report, and respond to hazards, incidents, and suspicious activity
  • Demonstrate keen observation skills and situational awareness at all times
  • Follow DSI policies, client requirements, and post-specific instructions
  • Interact professionally with clients, visitors, employees, and the public
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely
  • Participate in training and comply with DSI safety procedures and manuals
  • Maintain steady movement throughout shift, including foot patrols and monitoring assigned areas
